sorry, he made me laugh so hard i've found it hard to just show you one photo! he is sixteen weeks old today, and besides enjoying rolling all over the place he is trying to sit up too! my first son could crawl across rooms by 5months old (seriously, he was the talk of the health visitors!), so i don't think Milo will be far behind! anyway, enough baby bragging (heheheh...we all do it, right?) Milo is wearing his shirt from Niddle Noddle (thank you ladies!) for the first time! we love it! so smart! they have some really lovely (and vintage!) things Niddle Noddle(i'm going to have to get his big brother a matching shirt now =D), including these cute little vintage image pillows!

he is just so funny lately, wants to eat everything (except food...that will wait until he is past six months, but that's another story ;D) it's the daddies birthday tomorrow, he's spending it doing his favourite thing....carp fishing >yuck<! LOL. hope you all have a lovely weekend!

this is usually the time of year i start getting the kids spring/summer clothing ready, feet growing, arms stretching and legs lengthening...time for new sizes with a five year old and three year old birthday coming up. but, with this house thing going on.....my attention has directed to home decor...and i've gone a little over bored...oops! (anyone else have the occasionally oops?) well anyway, needless to say....spring/summer clothing is going to have to wait now...>LOL< and to those lucky enough to buy it all, when ever how ever....then i envy you!

help! a surveyor is coming round today to put a price on our house...eek! what a rush this morning! so glad it's Friday though, i'm hoping these weeks before the Easter break will fly, and that we've found some where to rent by then! our plan's to rent for a year or so, then buy when we've saved up a bit! i'll just be glad to be out of this tiny house, and be a bit closer to the school so i don't have such a trek each day! not meaning to vent on my blog again, but it helps....hah.

our house is a complete wreck today, the clutter is going but the memories are being re-lived. having kept pretty much every little thing that's ever entered our home has resulted in slight hoarder issues. but something like this....is a keep!

say hello to the little black button that got stuck up my sons nose when he was 3 and had to be put under GA to get it out!!! (terrifying experience, having to pin him down for them to get the gas mask on him...it was stuck so far up they had to use some scary tool to get it out! still shed a tear thinking about it, don't think he'll be sticking anything up his nose again!)

right. better get this baby back to sleep and keep going! hope you're having a better weekend then me! six weeks of school until Easter....hope they fly!

we're about to start the process of selling/moving house...and i have set my self the task of halving the amount of stuff (mainly clutter and old things we needlessly hang onto!) we have to make it all go a bit smoother, in the hope to move in, start again, and be organised!!!

and i absolutely....positively....LOVE Scandinavian design! not that i can afford anything at the moment with all the costs of moving, but when we are safe and sound in our new place i plan to make it as white, clean, and personal as possible! no longer will i decorate to please visitors, following the 'norm' for around here (cream blandness)...no to practical, yes to artistic! if people around here think i'm loopy for painting walls white, or wanting white floors, then they can trod on. with that said, i need to crack on and get this show on the road. i may be a little MIA for a while....but it will be worth it! more space, garage, closer to the school, and for once a dining room! yes please!!!

p.s. that half naked poster is so perfect for us you have no idea, me the chubby brunette, and him the handsome ginger!!!hahahah! (oh man i'm glad he doesn't tend to read my posts!)

most days after school we spend an hour or so in our lovely little local library. we read books together on the sofa or my -learning to read- 4year old will grab himself some comics to look at, whilst his little sister plays with the toys or enjoys some colouring on the animal chairs. yesterday she chose this book, Dimity Dumpty by Bob Graham and what a perfect book it was for her! a lovely story about humpty dumpty's little sister, with really sweet illustrations of an egg family circus act! yep, we loved it! and now she can call her luckyboysunday doll Dimity instead of Humpty...seeing as she's a she and not a he after all!

Monday morning, i lost my favourite vintage silver bangle..then Tuesday we got so drenched from the walking in the rain that the boys and i were under the weather on Wednesday, today, i'm still feeling ick but two cheerful little packages came in the post today that made me smile! starting with the pixie bag for my little madam a.k.a our pixie! made by the wonderful misako mimoko, arriving with super adorable cards, happy little faces and a fab butterfly mask! so creative, i just love her illustrations!

and Milo received his super awesome bobochoses bib from nenuphcorner (that i found during my hunt for some old bobochoses collections, hard to find some about still. although i know i already have my fair share of bobochoses items from passed collections already..but not baby items, so very chuffed i got hold of this bib!) so it's Friday tomorrow, the weather still isn't great but i'm in a good mood again and seriously looking forward to spring when the school walks will be way better!!!

i'll admit...not only am i not that good at searching the net for something new to the design/family lifestyle blog world, i don't have time to. neither am i that great at searching on etsy, i tend to just search for things i can't find here...like the kind of vintage toys i love. i found this clown last night (which i love, such a happy face!). it had me struggling to sleep though, as i was thinking to myself how and why i love the things i do. my hair is still wet from the school walk in the rain, and the baby has just pooped for the second time since walking in.....so not the time for a life story. hah. but i will share with you something....when i was little, i had a bright hanging clown toy in my room...it used to freak me out! the clowns face even spooked me in my dreams. so why you ask would i do it to myself and search for clowns? probably because despite my childhood fear of clowns, i have always loved the circus. something about the enchanted escape from 'normal' life. so i better go before i lead onto my life story and why my longing to be 'normal' has lead me to enjoying being the total opposite! but just so you know, now that i have little ones myself i am very aware there is a thin line between the toys i like and scary toys...so i'd never get anything i know would scare them!

now that my four year old spends his days at school with uniform, there's not much need for more then a few outfits....i've sold some of his pre-loved clothes off last year via my facebook 'mummy sells' page, and i have a ton more things to get on there now that the little ones have spent the past few months growing! so if your interested i'll be putting some new items up soon! for now i thought i'd share a quick snap of what he wears at the minute! he loves his newest tops, the skull from the Rk shop sale and lion from the quirky collective sale!

his trousers are always mainly ZaraKids, but i LOVE his white Italian jeans (that he's had for AGES! they'll be sad to let go of!) i miss his black skinny AllSaints jeans and i see now they no longer sell kidswear on line! gutted! isn't it funny how attached we get to items that remind us how fast our babies are growing up? or is it just me? hah.

starting backwards....with these awesome goodie bags!!! figured the four would look really good together and the little ones can have their pick! my little day is a fantastic party shop, some seriously wonderful ideas to help inspire parents to create a fabulously fun party for their little one! in my case, i'm planning a joint party for my soon to be 5 and 3 year olds during the Easter holiday. it is so tempting to go down the 'all black and white' route for the theme but i think a touch of lush colours (like turquoise, yellow or pink) would bring that vintage circus style to life a bit! i LOVE everything on my little day, so i'm finding it difficult to think hard about exactly what we need!

as for party invitations and cards...i'm getting some sketches together to finally make good use of! so fingers crossed i have a productive few months..and hopefully find myself a bit closer to were i want to be!

my four year old is ending his first school term with something new to him...invites to birthday parties! we dropped him off to a wizard themed birthday party over the weekend...and now another invite for a birthday party during the holiday (star wars theme!) now with the idea stuck in his head he wants a party for his new school friends come his birthday too! but one..tiny..small..little issue...our house is not big enough for the five of us let alone a bunch of 4-5yearolds! I'd love to organise a fab party for him (can feel it could get a tad competitive...) and introduce his new friends to our little quirky world..but we just don't have the space (or money to be honest!)....darn! his birthday is less then 3months away now...so I better think of something soon!

another week begins, a cold sunny day here in Norfolk...last week of school and the wait for final Christmas present deliveries to arrive! so excited to get all the little ones presents together for one last time before I wrap them up! a little upset after hearing that a certain person in their lives have gone o.t.t with presents for them again but I guess my quality over quantity thing isn't a mutual feeling!

.....baby Milo got a few spots from his big brothers chicken pox. from the moment j comes home from school to the kiss goodbye again in the morning he wants to cuddle baby Milo, whist I'm finding myself re-living the 'do as much as you can in the short 20minutes(due to the level of noise his big sister makes)the baby actually sleeps out of my arms' once again. so my new years resolution 'a doodle a day' will hopefully be a target to take just a moment in each day to tune-out/re-charge! and this week I've noticed how big my little girl is getting...finally! having been bald for so long, shes finally got enough hair for tiny bunches and having been in size 6-12months for sooo long, shes finally growing out of them at 31months old!!!

I can sense a theme going on here....Saturday posts about little lady and her little plastic 'break easy' toys! whilst I was still in hospital dada 'treated' the little ones to some rubbish little kids magazines that always come with cheap free little junk toys that last 5seconds!(sorry...but they really bug me! you know the ones I mean right? the kids beg for them just for the toy they stick on front..then the magazine of cbeebies or what'not gets left aside in a magazine mess pile.....*wow, ocd mama?*!) from it she got sharkie, who she told me all about over the phone on my last night...she loved it...but over the usual fight for >who's it really belongs to< he got broken! o deer! no more sharkie! but she loved him while he lasted!

we officially named Milo today! it felt a little strange being there again, as two and a half years ago I convinced myself it would be the last time! but this time, I can definitely say this is/was the last time! three is enough for me! so we celebrated with the buying of the Christmas tree and our first meal out with Milo!

I didn't have to get up for the school rush this morning!
(I still had to get up though!) first week dada has been back to work my eldest is stuck at home from school with chicken pox and I'm learning that getting myself(still in csection recovery), a fussy toddler, a rumble belly baby and an action boy ready for the day is no easy task! one child to many maybe, but this unplanned shock of a new baby in our lives has somehow become the completion we needed! (and he is super adorable!) as much as I was hoping for a completely different kind of a year...I am happy, my little ones are happy and this Christmas should be fun! with a teeny tiny budget this xmas I'm trying to keep it minimal....but with the four year old wanting every action figure and gun type stuff off the adverts I am yet to figure out what I will get him and whether or not it is worth bending my no junk/highstreet toys rule this year! all I keep hearing about is BEN10 <my biggest fear along side the dreaded PEPPAPIG!!! *ugh*

after Milo was born his cord/clamp has finally fallen off!

Meeting Milo

our little Milo was born 11.11.11 at 10:09 weighing 7lbs 3ozs(so close to my 7lbs 4oz guess)!

I feel so blessed and utterly in love with our new little person! he's feeding and sleeping so well, so chilled out!

it wasn't until day 3 she decided she would actually look at him and touch him after refusing to acknowledge her new baby brother at first!

but big brother adores him endlessly! wanting to hold him every second he can!

oh gosh, isn't he just the cutest!!?!!

a little last minute but I had to get this vintage cutie from Molly-Meg before Friday (baby day!) sitting beside the piles of outfits for my little ones so that daddy knows how/what to dress them in while I'm gone!

got a mountain of nappies ready, but one thing I'm still on the hunt for is a little memory box to put the new babies things in like I did for my other two (I literally kept EVERYTHING...including their dried up cords with the clips attached...yuck I know, but I'm weird like that =D)

today I'm off for my pre-op appointment...which I'm really hoping I make it home from after my having high blood pressure (for the first time ever!) last Friday, I'm hoping they don't keep me in today and say today is the day! I'm holding out for Friday, it will be the 11.11.11...which is pretty cool! I'm trying to keep distracted from the fact I'm going in for major surgery and think towards the fact that I can finally dress him in his cute little clothes!

this time next week I'll be going in for my pre-op appointment...the sun is shining on the gorgeous autumn trees and I'm really feeling strangely calm as my chatter-box little toddler and I wonder about the house trying to keep on top of the tidiness before I have to leave them for four days with daddy! I am not worried, too much....actually...I am...even the need to lay out what outfits to dress the little ones in when he brings them to visit the hospital feels important! (otherwise they will turn up dressed inside out and upside down!.....when daddy dresses them something always goes wrong and little lady usually ends up in her brother clothes for some strange reason daddy can't tell whos clothes are who's!)

as my little ones are still a little too little still we won't be going out trick or treating but we will be welcoming them! little madam is going through a funny stage and keeps saying that everything is scary, I agree! so we have decided to have cute little pumpkins instead this year, one each, and just let my little ones enjoy handing out the candy to the trick or treaters tomorrow! this morning they enjoyed scooping their little pumpkins out before mummy carved out little stars and a moon in them (no scary faces to spook her!) while daddy is at work for yet another weekend! we only have one weekend left now until Milo is born so I've also spent the morning nesting...a.k.a cleaning everything/anything I can dispite still pretty down with this cold/flu!

so little madam got her new boots, surprise surprise.....from ZARA! I could really open my own shop full of zara baby girl shoes at this rate!!! I can't help it....honestly! it's super sunny today so I figured despite feeling like I am coming down with the flu after a long week of looking after my little girl being unwell it would be nice to look for some autumn leaves....but they were so damp, and she was in such a fuss...we didn't last long outside!

little lady and I stop by the local Library almost every day since her big brother started school, it is right around the corner from his school so a good place for me to rest my swollen ankles before we have to pick him up! great time for her and I to be out of the house and enjoy something one to one (away from the house work..) like colouring or reading a little story!

five weeks from today will be Halloween! we haven't really "done" a Halloween before, dressing up etc. but now that my dude is at school and old enough to really want to get involved he has decided to be anything to do with his obsession with dinosaurs....so that's him sorted. but as for my little madam....I'm thinking a good excuse to kit her out little princess style! no, not pink princess....I still can't bring myself to purchase anything pink for her...possible pink phobia, but when I arrive at school with the only little girl NOT wearing at least a little pink I can only laugh when someone mistakes her as a boy (although I don't know any boys that wear tights and pretty buckle shoes, but in this area, if the child is not in pink, it can't possibly be a girl! LOL) so anyway, I am LOVING this outfit....must have oeuf crown, super cute mini rodini dress - sienna loves kai and these ADORABLE mini melissas - LFG! finding oufits/shoes in the size for my tiny 2year old are never easy so I am really excited that these shoes come in her size (21), I LOVE my melissa shoes, they are so yummy, so this mini collection look even more edible! I want some!

Oh Man...I wish I could get a photo of how awesome inside his class looks! First morning I have managed to get a second to take some photos before the crowd of parents and children arrive in the playground! I am still amazed at how well he has adjusted to school! From day one he was happy to go in and get on with it!

He tells me almost every detail of his day, he LOVES his teacher and assistants and always has so many lovely things to say about them(including when he mentioned that he liked his teacher with the "pretty bow" in her hair! so sweet!). He has already made friends, although not remembering their names just yet! He wakes up early every morning dieing to get ready and go! Makes it so enjoyable for me, dropping him off and seeing him run in and forget to kiss me goodbye! The only one who wasn't so happy about it at first was his little sister! She cried for him the first two mornings we left him! She asked, "where's my uniform mummy?"! Bless her, when we drop him off and she gets a peep of his amazing classroom she begs to stay! So it is nice to arrive early in the morning and let him show her around his playground before he rushes in!

(the first cold has already set in and he was a little snotty this morning, yuck! so far so good and I can't wait to pick him up on his last day of his first ever full week of school tomorrow! I am super proud.)

first weekend daddy has had off in ages! we went bowling saturday after a not so happy chap had to get his school shoes fitted....then sunday we headed to the dinosaur park like we promised him all summer we would take him before he starts school (tomorrow!). what a great day it was, started off wet and windy and ended up nice and sunny! really enjoyed chilling out in the sunshine with a hot chocolate at the end of the dinosaur walk.....until I spilt it on my lap and looked liked my waters had broke! they had a good laugh at me and it really was a great day to remember before I have to finally let my baby go and see him off to school!

so many dinosaurs!!!

he had so much fun! (thank goodness...seeing as it costs almost £15 for a child ticket!)

she clung onto daddy most of the way around! glad she at least enjoyed one dinosaur!

A mountain to climb!

Right now, I don't feel at all ready to welcome little Milo into our world. Nine weeks to go, and I feel like what seems a mountain to climb in the following weeks I can't see us being very prepared! Our four year old starts school next week, although not full time until the week after. Sadly and embarrassingly I still don't have a licence to drive, we live out on the edge of whats becoming a larger town year by year. I have timed it to take between 30-40minutes to walk to his school (along a busy road) with the weight of his little sister in the buggy, him on the buggy board and pushing along behind waddling like a penguin with the weight of this baby! I am SCARED. Daddy leaves for work around 6am and returns around 6pm, so not possible for him to drive him there, nor do I have any friends in the area who are going to the same school, so not really any help at all! Thankfully my partners mother has offered to help with school runs after I have had the csection, even though she lives on the other side of the city! So, as you can see, my stress levels are SUPER high. With the thought of walking around for over 2hours a day in the last few weeks of this pregnancy, it is going to be painful! I want to be there for every drop off and pick up, so I am really sad that the baby is going to be born in his first and most important start to school life! But not much I can do about it, so I am just taking a deep breath and hoping for the best. He is super excited about having a little brother, sadly his little sister is not so sure about the idea, in fact....she gets pretty mad when I try and slowly break it to hear that mummy will soon be spending some time in hospital...not sure how she will last a few nights without me =( Wishing more then anything that I could have a safe and natural birth, but after my other two experiences I am terrified of every/any option(but that's another story....LOL)! So anyway, before I write toooo much on every thing running round my head. I am adoring this newborn minirodini hat, suddenly I feel a little hat addiction coming on!

No crib, basket, baby bath, rocker or seat...hospital bags half packed, carseat ready, baby carrier on stand by....as for the rest...I was hoping to do without, but the closer I get, the more I remember about having a newborn...and so the more I panic! Strange how easy it is to forget?

Very slow preparation progress, but the arrival of this foldable changing bag for out'n'about is so cool (and made me feel a little more ready....haha)! Love these on Kidsen!

Sorry for the rant, and lack of interesting/exciting posts! The little ones are out today so I am alone in the house having a moment of panic. Think I need to sit down and have a cup of tea....clear my head if possible? Probably doesn't help that I get NO sleep at the minute!

little experiment

science? not me, but lately my little boy has taken a lot of interest in science programs on his kids tv and making little experiments around the house involving anything he can mix together! The past few days he has had a bowl of water that he has been adding stuff to each day, salt, chili flakes, vinegar...you name it! Super smelly but he is very serious about no one touching what ever it is he is trying to make...so last night, after deciding enough was enough with him playing on the laptop during the mornings (he found lego.com which has some pretty cool but addictive games for kids!) I decided to try and distract him with a little experiment we can all get involved with. Not exactly exciting, but we tried! haha, not enough vinegar left to take full effect....but will be making a list of things to get and put in a box for experimenting days or maybe just get a science kit?

Hello!

Firstly, sorry I haven't blogged on for a while. It's been a funny few weeks, but as I FINALLY enter the last trimester I have started nesting....despite little to work with! We sold every baby thing (crib, basket, bath, toys etc) last year when we decided no more babies (as I don't enjoy being pregnant in all honesty...). But we kept hold of this changing stand we have had for almost 5years, which shows! But as far as plans go, it will be the only furniture for Milo! Still have shelves to put up, lovely new posters to frame and maybe a nursring chair in the other room if I'm lucky! (We don't have room for a nursery so instead we've had a move around so that he can at least have a little corner!)

I am thrilled to have found GreenBaby and ordered some of their totally gorgeous products and chuffed to have some bio degradable nappies/wipes/sacks as my plan to use washable nappies has gone out the window with the total lack of space to dry anything in this little house(I don't even have space for a dishwasher let alone a dryer!). I LOVE the organic bleach free muslin's and baby towel, no more expensive then those in places like mothercare so I am happy to be trying a greener start to this little ones life! Had to get this cool little piqpoq baby book and perfect little brio rattle to match the lovely black changing mat cover =D And how gorgeous is the Nathalie Lete lapin poster? LOVE. (thank you Lady Lapin!)

I recieved a beautiful gift in the post today from my lovely new friend from Seventy Tree!
I love this print! It was on my dream nursery list as it happens for the baby so I was super excited when I found it today! Thank you so much Kerry! I wasn't set on making a nursery but it seems that little Milo has already claimed a corner of the house! I haven't even made my made my mind up yet if we are going to have a crib (as we've safely coslept with both other babies as I breastfed and sold our un used crib and basket last year!) but I am starting to feel the need to nest so we'll see how long the 'no baby zone' idea lasts! not long I should imagine!

Where do I begin? Well.....LUCKYBOYSUNDAY has become an infatuation for me.

I'm a HUMONGOUS fan of LuckyBoySunday...everything I love and more all in a bundle of gorgeous soft joy. It is hard not to want every creation from them and not be able to buy it all and fill up a room with their things just so that I could close the door and sit with them till my hearts content! The shapes, the faces......I love it all! Now I have seen their new collection....I'm dieing to get hold of one of these new lovelies!

Seaside Sunshine

Okay, so when we left the house heading to the beach yesturday it had just started to rain and the sky was dark! Jumpers in hand by the time we arrived at the seaside the clouds had burnt off and it was HOT. The kids really had no interest in the rides this time, not even the snails! It was a special day out with the grandparents (inlaw) and a special trip down memory lane for them as this was their place they enjoyed to take their boys when they where little. Despite the crowd we managed to find a little spot where the kids spent all their time digging with the new buckets and spades their nannie and grandad bought them. My little guy was so busy digging a hole in the sand he refused to change into shorts! I've never been a fan of busy beaches or noisy rides....but once the kids where in the sand they where happy! I enjoy days out at halls, gardens or forest walks but this was a nice change! They collected many rocks which we plan to paint at some point today when I snap out of this exhaustion....
